    Guest rating

The hotel rate is a bargain. Although very small, the room has all the essential appliances for a comfortable stay.

The hotel staff has a poor command of English, but that is usually the case in Japan, as I come to learn. The room is very small, again something usual in Japan. The location is not exactly the best for someone visiting the city for a couple of days, since it is distant from the hotspots (Shibuya, Shinjuku, Ginza, Akihabara, etc). Although the public transportation system is very efficient in Tokyo, it makes you waste valuable time. If you are staying in the city for just a couple of days, it would pay to stay at a more expensive but better located hotel. One thing that was not clearly disclosed in the hotel website is that they don't offer any room service at all (cleaning, room make up) and that they charge you an extra fee if you leave the room dirty upon check out. Also, there is a rather stiff charge to open up your door if you lock yourself out of the room accidentally. Finally, the free Internet is cable only, no wi-fi (once again, that seems to be the norm in Japan), so leave the iPad at home...

    Good

It was relatively easy to find and the location is its best asset. Only a few subway/JR stations away from Akihabara, Ueno and central Tokyo. Asakusa itself is a nice place to explore. It's excellent value for money.

The only downside is the very tiny room size. There was hardly any floor space to put luggage or table/desk space for your belongings. One other small negative is that there is no tidying/cleaning service, so you need to take out the trash yourself and even use the vacuum cleaner provided to clean up the room a bit.

    Very good

Friendly and helpful staff. Good location close to the subway with good access to other parts of the city, and airports. Relatively good value for budget travellers.

Lack of chamber service. Lack of soundproofing and noise from outside was disturbing at times. Limited reception desk hours.

    Fabulous

Really great and in good location close to Kuramae station so was very easy to get around the city. Nice apartment style room with slippers, robe, and all you need for a good stay. Great to have free wired internet that was fast.

    Good

Easy to walk around at Asakusa area, 10-15 min walk from the metro station. Hotel staff speaks English and very helpful.

    Good

the reservice by the front desk staff is very good and they tried their best to make us feel comfortable.

we were put in rooms facing directly outside the building so it is cold, windy and noisy.

    Good

position close to Sumidagawa and Asakusa. Bike rental for 1050 yen for up to one month!

no room service, no 24h reception.

    Superb

Room was very clean, good price for apartment in Tokyo.

Its, not necesarily in middle of everything, but there is a 10 min metro station that connects everything, and a 20 min walk from Asakusa center, where there is a lot of stuff to do.

    Fabulous

Location was excellent, easy walking distance to subway stations, both North South and East West. Keisai Airport Express from Narita to Asakusa, then change to Asakusa Oedo line (on same platform) made airport transfers very easy and economical. Quiet, confortable apartment, small, but thats Tokyo right :-). Accomodated 3 adults comfortably for 8 night stay. Would stay again happily.

    Good

Internet, laundry in the basement, good location (close to metro station), good equipment of the room.

small room, constant smell of cigarettes in the room even though we were not smoking, high moisture in the room.

    Fabulous

The staff were very helpful. Good value.

Room was clearly designed for 2 beds, but had 3, so a little cramped. Location was some distance from train station.

    Very good

Room size was slightly bigger than in other hotels. I could even open my suitcase fully :).

I reserved a non-smoking room, but there was a slightly noticeable smoking smell. Room was definately a smoking room.

    Fabulous

We have a card to open the Main Door after 6:00 pm to 8:00 am , it is similar to living in the small apartment in the city. There are vending machine which selling drinks and beer , also some instant noodles and chips in the small lobby.

It is 350 meter away from the Subway station including a bridge to cross, it is very hot in the summer to walk this distance when the weather reach 36 degree C, But I think it is OK for the whole year round.

    Exceptional

It's a comfortable and quiet hotel. Rent a bike for city tour is excellent.

If the check out time at 11am will better.
